Our new Winter collection of sustainably made linen cushion covers are a series of hand printed, unique designs of abstract patterning, using botanical dye on linen.

This collection is printed using Weld (Reseda Luteola), a native dye plant used for hundreds of years to colour cloth in shades of yellow & green.

For this cushion series we were inspired by our beloved local Saxon shoreway, where Maritime Lichens pepper the stonework and trees along the sea wall.

Each cushion is original, designed and printed by TND’s David Cyrus Smith.

Each has its own characteristics and irregularities which we believe adds to its beauty, celebrating the hand of the maker.

The cover front is made from tactile, natural slubby linen & is hand printed using 100% synthetic free natural dye paste made by us, in our Kent studio. The cushion reverse is a natural linen.

100% European linen (Oeko-Tex 100 certified), sewn in the UK, using 100% cotton thread. The cushion cover closes with a covered zip in a neutral colour.

Handwash gently with just a little eco detergent such as Ecover. Allow to dry flat & naturally, away from artificial heat. Naturally dyed items should be kept out of direct sunlight to prevent fading. The cushion will naturally fade slightly and soften over time,

Dimensions: 45 x 45cm (Fits 45 x 45cm cushion inner - sold separately).

Once the zip is removed, the cover can be composted at the end of it’s useable life.
